Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 box box of brownie mix (plus ingredients as directed) Follow the instructions on the package.
Cream Cheese Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Bring to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Optional Toppings
  • to taste whipped cream For garnishing.
  • to taste more chocolate chips For garnishing.
  • to taste crushed nuts For crunch.
  • to taste fresh berries For garnishing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions.
  3. Line muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  4. Fill each liner with enough brownie batter to cover the bottom, about halfway up.
Make Cream Cheese Filling
  1. In a separate bowl, mix together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, egg, and sour cream until smooth.
  2. Spoon the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter in each liner.
  3. Add mini chocolate chips on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Allow to cool and add optional toppings as desired.

Notes

Serve while cool to the touch. Place three to four on a small plate and garnish for a beautiful presentation. Keep refrigerated due to cream cheese.
