- Follow the steps on the cake mix box to bake the cake. After mixing the batter, gently fold in about half of the chopped Oreos.
- Bake as directed and allow the cake to cool for 30 minutes.
Frosting
- In a mixing bowl, combine the unsalted butter and shortening, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add in 1 cup of powdered sugar along with the vanilla, mixing until fully combined.
- Slowly add the remaining powdered sugar, milk (or coffee creamer), and the gel food coloring. Mix for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- If needed, adjust the consistency with more milk.

- Grab a piping bag fitted with a tip 1M and start layering. Place one or two scoops of cake into a mason jar, pressing down gently.
- Pipe frosting on top of the cake layer, followed by a splash of chopped chocolate chip cookies and chopped Oreos.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of frosting.
- Top with candy eyeballs and half a chocolate chip cookie.
Notes
Store leftover cake jars in the refrigerator for up to five days. Seal tightly to maintain freshness. Mix different gel colors for frosting for a fun appearance. Consider using different toppings and cookie varieties as desired.
