Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (heat treated) Heat-treat flour by baking at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes or microwave in bursts.
  • 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
For the Coating
  • 1 10 ounce bag dark chocolate melting wafers
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate melting wafers
  • sprinkles For decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and brown sugar. Beat on medium speed until creamy.
  2. Beat in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until incorporated and smooth.
  3. Slowly mix in the heat-treated flour, then stir in miniature chocolate chips gently.
  4. Use a small cookie dough scoop to make 24 dough balls. Roll into a ball shape and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
Coating
  1. Melt the dark chocolate wafers in the microwave at 50% power.
  2. Use a toothpick to dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate. Place onto a wax paper lined tray and gently twist out the toothpick.
  3. Cover the hole with a bit of melted chocolate and let set.
  4. Melt the white chocolate wafers and spoon into a plastic bag. Cut off one corner and drizzle over the truffles. Top with sprinkles before the chocolate sets.

Notes

For best results, chill thoroughly before dipping, work quickly with melted chocolate, and patch any holes with melted chocolate for a seamless finish.
