Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough
  • 180 grams Manteca Softened butter
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 190 grams Condensed Milk Sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 pieces Eggs Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 400 grams Harina 0000 All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the manteca and sugar, pressing against the sides until smooth.
  2. Mix in the condensed milk, followed by the eggs and vanilla essence.
  3. In another bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder, then gently fold it into the mixture.
  4. Wrap the dough in film and chill in the fridge for about an hour.
Baking
  1. Flour your surface and rolling pin, then roll out the dough to a 0.5 cm thickness.
  2. Cut out cookies using your favorite cookie cutter and place on a greased baking sheet.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the cookies for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Let them cool on a rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Experiment with flavors by adding chocolate chips or nuts, and consider using coconut oil for a tropical twist.
