Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 cup dessicated coconut
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mixed nuts, crushed
Wet Ingredients
  • 125 g butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 1 unit egg lightly beaten

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 180C and grease a slice pan.
  2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the greased slice pan evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  2. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before slicing into bars.

Notes

These bars can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature. Serve them plain, with butter, or jam. They can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days at room temperature.
