  • 8 cups Chex rice cereal squares
  • 2 ½ cups frosted circus animal cookies, divided 1 ½ cups crushed for mixture and remaining for decoration
  • 6 ounces white candy melts Melt according to package instructions
  • ½ cup powdered sugar For coating
  • ½ cup rainbow nonpareils For decoration
  • ⅓ cup white chocolate chips For pink frosting
  • Red food coloring gel To achieve desired pink hue for decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Crush 1 ½ cups of frosted circus animal cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin in a Ziploc bag.
  3. Chop or crush the remaining animal cookies and set them aside for decoration.
Mixing
  1. Melt the white candy melts according to package instructions.
  2. Pour the melted candy melts over the Chex mixture and fold gently with a spatula.
  3. Drape the melted mixture with cookie crumbs and sprinkles, followed by a light dusting of powdered sugar.
Serving
  1. Stir in the chopped frosted animal cookies.
  2. Serve as is or drizzle with pink chocolate frosting made by melting white chocolate chips and adding red food coloring.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free chocolate melts. Consider adding vanilla extract for enhanced flavor and try different cereals for unique textures.
