Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk the melted butter and brown sugar until combined.
- Add the egg, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk until everything is mixed well.
- Stir in the flour, salt, and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and the remaining ½ teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter.
Baking
- Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the blondies to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
Notes
These blondies are delightful on their own, but can also be served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzled with caramel sauce. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
