  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
  • 4 cups apple pie filling
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg (optional) Contributes warmth.
Cream Layer
  • 8 oz cream cheese, fully softened Ensure it's at room temperature for a smooth mixture.
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping
Drizzle
  • to taste Caramel sauce For drizzling before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Flatten half of the cinnamon rolls and press them snugly into the bottom of the baking dish to form a soft, even crust.
Apple Layer
  1. Spread half of the apple pie filling evenly over the cinnamon roll crust.
  2. Sprinkle with cinnamon and optional nutmeg to enhance the aroma.
Cream Layer
  1. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until very smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Building
  1. Spread half of the cream mixture over the apple filling.
  2. Repeat the layering process with the remaining cinnamon rolls, apple filling, and cream mixture, finishing with a layer of cream.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.
  2. Ensure the center remains slightly gooey for the desired texture.
Serve
  1. Let the lasagna rest for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Drizzle with the reserved icing from the cinnamon rolls and caramel sauce before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

To get cleaner slices, chill the lasagna briefly before cutting and use a sharp knife dipped in hot water.
