Preparation
- Butter an 8x8 baking pan.
- Add Rice Krispies to a large bowl and toss with 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir until almost melted, leaving a few lumps.
- Remove the pot from heat and stir in cereal until well coated.
- Using a buttered spatula or wax paper, press the mixture evenly into the buttered pan.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar as desired and allow to cool before cutting and serving.
Notes
Wrap individual squares in parchment or plastic wrap to preserve their chew. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. For softer treats, lift the lid briefly before serving; for a firmer bite, chill for 15-20 minutes.
