Ingredients
  

Fruit Ingredients
  • 1.5 pounds cranberries, fresh or frozen Can use fresh or frozen cranberries.
  • 1.5 pounds strawberries, fresh or frozen Can use fresh or frozen strawberries.
Sugar Ingredients
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.25 cups light brown sugar
Spices
  • 2 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Or zest of one orange.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In your crockpot, add the cranberries, strawberries, both sugars, allspice, cinnamon, and ginger.
  2. Gently stir the mixture until well combined.
  3. Cover and set the crockpot to high for four hours, stirring once halfway through.
Blending and Jarring
  1. Use an immersion blender to achieve a jam-like consistency, pulsing just a few times.
  2. Alternatively, blend in small batches with a countertop blender.
  3. Ladle the hot jam into clean jars, wipe the rims, and secure the lids lightly.
  4. Allow them to cool at room temperature and then refrigerate overnight to set.

Notes

For a chunkier texture, blend less and leave some cranberry pieces. Consider adding a liqueur for a festive touch.
