Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a 9x13-inch pan with foil, extending edges for easy removal.
- Place a single layer of Saltine crackers in the pan.
Cooking
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and dark brown sugar, stirring until combined.
- Bring to a rolling boil and let bubble for 3 minutes.
- Pour the butter mixture over the crackers in the pan.
- Bake in the oven for about 7 minutes.
- Remove pan from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot mixture.
- Spread melted chocolate with a spatula for an even layer.
Cooling and Serving
- Place the pan in the refrigerator to chill until set.
- Once set, break into pieces and serve on a platter.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, refrigerate, allowing to come to room temperature before serving.
