Main Ingredients
  • 200 grams dark chocolate Use the highest quality dark chocolate for best results.
  • 3 count eggs Separate the yolks from the whites.
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 200 ml whipping cream Whip until stiff peaks form.
  • 1 count orange Use both juice and zest.

Method
 

Melting Chocolate
  1. Begin by melting the chocolate in a double boiler, stirring gently until it’s smooth and glossy.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar together until the mixture is light and creamy.
  2. Once your chocolate is melted and slightly cooled, fold it into the egg mixture.
  3. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold that whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
  4. Add the freshly squeezed orange juice and zest, folding them in gently.
Setting the Mousse
  1. Carefully pour the mixture into glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let it set.

Notes

If any mousse is left, cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge for up to 2 days. You can also add orange liqueur or espresso for variations.
