Preparation
- Gather all ingredients and blend the desiccated coconut, powdered sugar, and melted butter in a mixing bowl.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Mix until a thick, sticky dough forms.
- Chill the mixture in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes, then roll into tablespoon-sized balls.
- Freeze the rolled balls for another 15 minutes to help them hold their shape during chocolate dipping.
Chocolate Dipping
- Melt the chocolate and coconut oil in the microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each chilled coconut ball halfway into the melted chocolate, letting excess chocolate drip off.
- Sprinkle extra shredded coconut on top while the chocolate is still wet and place back on the tray.
- Chill in the fridge until the chocolate is set.
Notes
For a creative twist, consider adding orange zest or chopped nuts. Use slightly damp hands when rolling to minimize sticking.
