Ingredients

For the Brownie Base
  • 18.3 ounces chewy fudge brownie mix
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
For the Filling and Coating
  • 12 ounces whipped chocolate frosting
  • 10 ounces maraschino cherries
  • 18 ounces chocolate almond bark Can substitute with white chocolate

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with baking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, and eggs. Mix until fully combined.
  3. Spread the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and bake according to package instructions. Allow to cool completely after baking.
Assembly
  1. Crumble half of the cooled brownies into a bowl and fold in half of the whipped chocolate frosting. Then crumble the remaining brownies and mix in the rest of the frosting until combined.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a cookie scoop to form balls of the brownie mixture, encasing a cherry in each ball. Refrigerate for about an hour.
  3. Melt the almond bark in the microwave, checking every 30 seconds until smooth.
  4. Dip each brownie ball into the melted almond bark, then place back on the lined baking sheet. Chill until ready to serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge or freeze for up to three months. Experiment with different flavored frostings for variety.
