Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the brioche dough into 12 equal portions and roll each into a small ball.
- Flatten each ball into a disk and spoon 1 tablespoon of custard and 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips into the center.
- Carefully bring the edges together and pinch to seal.
- Place the sealed brioches on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with an egg wash made from the egg and milk.
Baking
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
Serving
- Once baked, serve warm or at room temperature with a dusting of powdered sugar.
Notes
If storing leftovers, keep brioches in an airtight container for up to two days at room temperature. For longer storage, freeze and reheat when ready to enjoy. Consider adding fruit or nuts for variations.
