Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the angel food cake mix according to package instructions.
  3. Gently fold in the cherry pie filling into the prepared cake batter.
  4. Pour the batter into an ungreased 9x13-inch baking pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and springs back when lightly pressed.
  2. Allow the cake to cool completely.
Serving
  1. Spread the whipped topping over the cooled cake evenly.
  2. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Chill the cake for at least an hour before serving to allow the whipped topping to set. For cleaner slices, use a warm, sharp knife.
