Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Wet Ingredients and Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder) in a bowl.
  3. Add cheese and stir until combined.
Combining Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg.
  2. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into the greased loaf pan.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool, slice, and enjoy.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or alongside tomato soup. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or in the fridge for 4-5 days. Freeze sliced portions for up to 3 months.
