Ingredients

For the Cake
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs Should be at room temperature for fluffiness
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

For the Creamy Filling
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For the filling
For the Caramel Topping
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For the caramel
  • 1 tbsp butter For the caramel

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pans well.
  2. In a big bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, whole milk, eggs, melted butter, flour, and sugar until you have a smooth batter.
  3. Pour the batter into your prepared pans and let the oven work its magic for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick slides out clean.
Creamy Filling
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, butter, and heavy cream until it’s silky smooth.
Caramel Topping
  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan, then add the sugar and heavy cream. Cook gently until it reaches a rich and amber caramel consistency.
Assembly
  1. Once the cakes are completely cooled, fill them generously with the creamy mixture and pour the warm caramel topping on top.
  2. Let it ooze down the sides before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, let the cake sit for a few hours or overnight before serving. If desired, sprinkle toasted coconut on top of the caramel.
