Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, brown sugar, canola oil, granulated sugar, sour cream, instant espresso granules, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture.
- Gently fold in mashed bananas and caramel sauce.
- Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
Glaze
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, stirring until bubbling.
- Once the bread has cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over the loaf.
Notes
The riper the bananas, the better for a moist loaf. Let the bread cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
