Brownie Base
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Cheesecake Layer
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • as needed Chocolate curls optional, for garnish

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, stirring until smooth. Add eggs and whisk until mixed.
  3. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, folding until well combined.
  4. Spread the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Let it cool while preparing the cheesecake layer.
Cheesecake Layer
  1. Beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until silky smooth.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing completely, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie base and smooth it out.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheesecake is set and edges are golden.
  5. Allow the cheesecake to cool fully in the pan and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Serving
  1. Drizzle caramel sauce over the cheesecake and add chocolate curls if desired. Serve with coffee or milk.
