Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar to make a simple syrup. Bring it to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the fresh cranberries into the syrup, and let them soak for about 10 minutes.
  3. Drain cranberries and spread them out on a baking sheet.
  4. Roll the cranberries in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  5. Allow the cranberries to dry for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

These candied cranberries are great as a snack, in salads, or on cheese boards. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
