  • 2.5 cups crumbled cake From a 1 x batch of cake
  • 1 cup prepared fruit filling Optional
  • 1 cup prepared vanilla bakery buttercream frosting
  • 1 cup prepared fluffy chocolate buttercream

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by crumbling the cake into small pieces. Make sure it’s cool before you crumble it to make it easier to work with.
  2. Take your cooled cake and break it into fine crumbs either by hand or with a food processor.
Assembly
  1. In clear cups or small containers, start layering. Begin with a layer of cake crumbs.
  2. Add a layer of fruit filling (if using), followed by a layer of frosting.
  3. Repeat these layers until the cups are full, topping with a dollop of frosting for decoration.

Notes

Cake Cups can be served right after assembling. They are best enjoyed within a few days but can last up to a week in the fridge. Use leftover cake to minimize waste and feel free to experiment with different flavors.
