  • 3/4 cup pecans (or walnuts), finely chopped To enhance flavor, toast them lightly before chopping.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a stand mixer, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Slowly add in the salt, vanilla extract, and flour, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gently stir in the finely chopped pecans by hand.
  5. Scoop the dough into 1-inch balls and place them onto the prepared baking sheets.
Baking
  1. Bake the cookies for about 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  2. Allow the cookies to cool for about 5 minutes before rolling them in powdered sugar.
  3. Once completely cool, you may roll them in powdered sugar again for an extra snowy appearance.

Store cookies in an airtight container for freshness. They can be refrigerated for a firmer bite or frozen for months, layering with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
