Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 packages cream cheese, softened Use full-fat cream cheese for the richest flavor.
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar Adjust based on sweetness of peanut butter.
  • 1.5 cups creamy peanut butter Bring to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tub whipped topping, thawed Freshly whipped cream can be substituted.
  • 1.5 cups mini chocolate chips
  • 1 bottle magic shell chocolate topping For a cracker-like top, substitute with melted semi-sweet chocolate.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, add the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mix until light, smooth, and well combined.
  2. Add the creamy peanut butter and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping and mini chocolate chips.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a pie dish or an 8×8 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Pour the magic shell chocolate topping over the dip and spread it into a thin layer.
  6. Refrigerate for 30 to 40 minutes before serving.

Notes

For the best texture, wait to pour the magic shell until about 30–40 minutes before serving. Cover tightly or store in an airtight container and refrigerate; it keeps well for 3–4 days.
