Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Peanut Butter Layer
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
Ganache Topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Heated until just boiling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in the sugar.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gradually stir into the butter mixture until well blended.
  5. Spread the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Peanut Butter Layer
  1. While the brownies are baking, mix the peanut butter and powdered sugar in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the cooled brownies.
Ganache Preparation
  1. Pour the hot heavy cream over chocolate chips in a bowl, letting it sit for one minute before stirring until smooth.
  2. Pour the ganache over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
  3. Allow to cool and set before slicing into squares.

Notes

For serving, cut into modest squares and serve at room temperature. Add flaked salt or a toasted peanut on top for extra flavor. Store in an airtight container for optimal freshness.
