Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.
  2. Cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Incorporate orange zest and fresh orange juice into the mixture.
  5. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean when done.
Making the Frosting
  1. In a separate bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Add the orange zest and a tablespoon of orange juice, then mix in the powdered sugar.
  3. Adjust with more juice if needed to reach desired frosting consistency.
Finishing Touch
  1. Once the brownies have cooled slightly, use a fork to pierce the surface.
  2. Spread the frosting over the top and refrigerate to set before cutting into squares.
