Ingredients

For the truffle filling
  • 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers For the base of the truffles.
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure it's well softened for smooth blending.
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) banana pudding mix, dry This gives the truffles their banana flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons milk To help combine the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For extra sweetness and flavor.
For the coating and decoration
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips or candy melts Can substitute with milk or dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
  • Food coloring (pastel colors) Optional, for coloring the chocolate.
  • Crushed vanilla wafers (for decoration, optional) To sprinkle on top.
  • Easter sprinkles (for decoration, optional) For a festive touch.
  • Colored chocolate drizzle (for decoration, optional) Adds visual appeal.

Method

Make the Filling
  1. Mix the crushed vanilla wafers, cream cheese, banana pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract until a dough forms.
Shape the Truffles
  1. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill for 30-45 minutes.
Melt the Chocolate
  1. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
Coat the Truffles
  1. Dip the chilled truffles into the chocolate, letting the excess drip off.
Decorate
  1. Sprinkle with crushed wafers, sprinkles, or chocolate drizzle.
Set and Serve
  1. Let the truffles set for 15-20 minutes, then serve in a decorative bowl or gift box.

Notes

Keep the truffles chilled in an airtight container for up to 5 days. For best flavor, keep them cool due to the cream cheese filling. Use a cookie scoop for even-sized truffles, and if the chocolate thickens, warm it slightly in the microwave to restore smoothness.
