Ingredients
  

Mochi Batter
  • 130 g glutinous rice flour Essential for the chewy texture
  • 40 g cornstarch Helps manage stickiness
  • 30 g granulated sugar
  • 160 ml milk
  • 8 g vegetable oil (peanut oil recommended) or butter For added richness
  • 10 g dragon fruit juice (optional) For color
Filling and Coating
  • 8 small bananas The main filling
  • Coconut flakes For coating

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, cornstarch, sugar, and milk. Stir until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish, cover, and steam for about 20 minutes until firm.
  3. After steaming, add vegetable oil (or butter) and optional dragon fruit juice. Knead into a silky smooth dough.
Assembly
  1. Pinch off a piece of dough, flatten it, and wrap it around a banana.
  2. Roll the wrapped banana in coconut flakes until fully coated.

Notes

For best results, enjoy fresh on the same day. Store extras in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Work quickly with the dough to prevent stickiness.
