Ingredients
  

Crust ingredients
  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs For the crust base.
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted To bind the crust ingredients.
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar For sweetness in the crust.
Cheesecake filling ingredients
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened Should be at room temperature.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar For sweetness in the filling.
  • 3 large eggs To help set the cheesecake.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor.
  • 0.5 cup mashed ripe bananas To enhance banana flavor.
Banana pudding layer ingredients
  • 1 package instant banana pudding mix (3.4 oz) For the pudding layer.
  • 1.5 cups cold milk To prepare the pudding.
Topping ingredients
  • 1.5 cups whipped cream (or whipped topping) For layering on top.
  • 2-3 pieces bananas, sliced For decoration.
  • to taste none crushed graham crackers For garnish.

Method
 

Prepare the crust
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, then let cool completely.
Make the cheesecake filling
  1. Lower oven temperature to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Beat cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Blend in vanilla extract and mashed bananas until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until the center is just set.
  7. Let it cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Add the pudding layer and top
  1. Whisk banana pudding mix with cold milk until thick.
  2. Spread pudding evenly over the chilled cheesecake.
  3. Top with whipped cream and decorate with banana slices and crushed graham crackers.
Serve the cheesecake
  1. Slice and serve chilled, either with coffee or milk.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps. Overripe bananas work best for mashing. For a crunchy twist, add nuts or toffee bits to the crust.
