Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Gently heat the milk and melt the butter together, then pour the warm mixture into the flour blend.
- Add the eggs, citrus zest, and orange blossom water. Stir until everything is well-combined to form a lovely dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm spot until it doubles in volume, about an hour.
Baking
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll it out.
- Spread the whipped cream mixed with sugar across the dough.
- Roll the dough up, tucking in the edges, and place it in a greased mold or baking dish.
- Allow it to rest again until it rises.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
- Decorate with candied fruits after baking.
