Preparation
- In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of apple juice. Do not boil; just warm it up.
- Add the sugar and cinnamon to the warm apple juice. Stir until dissolved.
- In a separate bowl, mix the gelatine with 1 cup of cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
- After the gelatine has bloomed, combine it with the warm apple juice mixture. Stir until fully dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly, then stir in the vodka.
- Pour the mixture into small shot glasses or plastic cups.
- Place the shots in the fridge to set for about 4 hours or until firm.
- Once set, top with whipped cream and garnish with an apple slice before serving.
Notes
Store leftover jello shots in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. You can prepare them a day in advance. For a non-alcoholic version, replace vodka with soda or sparkling water.
