  • 2 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons gelatine (unflavored) This will help the mixture set.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar (optional, to taste) Adjust based on your sweetness preference.
  • to taste whipped cream (for topping)
  • slices apple (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of apple juice. Do not boil; just warm it up.
  2. Add the sugar and cinnamon to the warm apple juice. Stir until dissolved.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the gelatine with 1 cup of cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
  4. After the gelatine has bloomed, combine it with the warm apple juice mixture. Stir until fully dissolved.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly, then stir in the vodka.
  6. Pour the mixture into small shot glasses or plastic cups.
  7. Place the shots in the fridge to set for about 4 hours or until firm.
  8. Once set, top with whipped cream and garnish with an apple slice before serving.

Notes

Store leftover jello shots in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. You can prepare them a day in advance. For a non-alcoholic version, replace vodka with soda or sparkling water.
