Preparation
- Make your cake mix following the instructions on the back of the packet.
- Peel, core and thinly slice your apples.
- Stir 1 tsp cinnamon through the apples, then fold them into your cake batter until coated.
- Pour into a lined cake tin, sprinkle the top with raw sugar and the extra 1 tsp cinnamon.
Baking
- Bake at 160°C (320°F) for 40–45 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Let it cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing into big, delicious pieces.
Notes
Serve warm with crème fraîche, yogurt, or ice cream. Wrap cooled slices for storage; they last up to 5 days in the fridge, or freeze individual slices for up to 2 months.
