Ingredients
  

For the cake
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the marshmallow filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened Ensure it's softened for easier blending
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
For the topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted Drizzle over chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the chocolate batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and powdered sugar until creamy.
  5. Fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
  6. Spread the marshmallow filling evenly over the chocolate batter.
  7. Spoon the remaining chocolate batter over the top.
  8. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly across the surface and drizzle melted butter over them.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is mostly set and the top looks rich and fudgy.
  2. Let it cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently before serving.
