  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9 by 13 baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the chocolate batter into the prepared baking dish.
Filling
  1. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and powdered sugar until creamy.
  2. Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
  3. Spoon the marshmallow filling evenly over the layer of chocolate batter.
  4. Carefully spread the remaining chocolate batter over the top.
Baking
  1. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly across the casserole.
  2. Drizzle with melted butter for an extra touch of richness.
  3. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is mostly set and the top is rich and fudgy.
Serving
  1. Let it cool slightly before serving warm. For the ultimate whoopie pie flavor experience, serve it warm with a cold glass of milk and an extra spoonful of marshmallow fluff on top.

Notes
