Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
- Rub olive oil all over the turkey, then season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- If desired, place fresh herbs inside the turkey cavity.
Cooking
- Place the turkey in the air fryer basket, breast side down, and cook for about 1 hour.
- Carefully flip the turkey over and cook for another 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Serving
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving and serving.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer to check the thickest part of the thigh and breast for that perfect 165°F (74°C). Tuck the wings under if the air fryer basket is snug. For extra-crisp skin, increase heat to 400°F for the last 10 minutes. Consider different glazes for flavor variations.
