Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips Use good-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Grease ramekins with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs Whisked until smooth and frothy.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting Dust cakes before serving.
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving Optional, but recommended.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and unsalted butter together in the microwave or over a double boiler. Stir until smooth and let cool slightly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and frothy.
  3. Gradually stir in the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the egg mixture, followed by the all-purpose flour and pinch of salt. Mix until smooth.
  4. Grease two small ramekins and divide the batter evenly between them.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the ramekins inside the basket and cook for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Allow cakes to cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days. Rewarm gently in the air fryer at 300°F (150°C).
