Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 375 F (190 C).
- Slice apples into 1/4-inch rings and remove the cores with a small round cutter.
Battering the Rings
- In one bowl, combine flour and salt.
- In another, whisk together egg and milk.
- In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Dip each apple ring into the flour, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with the cinnamon breadcrumb mix.
Cooking
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the rings in a single layer.
- Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle with honey before serving warm.
Notes
Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Recrisp them in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes at 350 F (175 C) before serving. Choose firm apples to help the rings hold shape and get crisp.
