  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Can be substituted with coconut or maple sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon butter Use for topping each apple.
Optional toppings
  • vanilla ice cream For a creamy accompaniment.
  • caramel sauce Drizzle for added sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Core the apples and place them in a bowl.
  3. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then sprinkle the mixture inside each apple.
  4. Place a small piece of butter on top of each apple.
  5. Arrange the apples in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
  1. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the apples are tender.
  2. Serve warm, optionally topped with ice cream or caramel sauce.

Notes

Let cooled apples sit in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer or microwave before serving. Choose apples that hold their shape, and don't overfill the cavity.
