Ingredients

Danish Ingredients
  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls Refrigerated dough
  • 7-8 Tbs Cherry Pie Filling For topping
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese, softened Must be softened for mixing
  • 4 Tbs Powdered Sugar Sifted to avoid lumps

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Remove the Pillsbury crescent rolls from the container and do not unroll. Keep them in a log and slice into about 1/2 inch rounds.
  3. Place the rounds onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  4. Using your fingers, create a dip in the center of each round while keeping the edges tall.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until fully combined.
  6. Add about a tablespoon and a half of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each crescent roll round.
  7. Top each with 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling.
Baking
  1. Bake in the center of the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is lightly golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor. A dusting of powdered sugar and a spoonful of extra cherry filling on the side enhances the presentation. Pair with coffee or tea for a perfect treat.
