Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks) Use unsalted butter for best flavor

  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional) Add for extra flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Grease an 8x8 inch pan with butter and line it with parchment paper.
Heating and Mixing
  1. In a large glass bowl, combine the butter and peanut butter. Cover tightly with a paper towel and microwave on high for about 2 minutes.
  2. Stir the mixture, then return to the microwave for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until silky smooth.
  3. Carefully fold in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract (if using) until well combined.
Setting
  1. Spread the mixture evenly into the lined pan.
  2. Let it cool for about 10 minutes, then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
Serving
  1. Flip the pan upside down onto a cutting surface to remove the fudge, peel away parchment, and cut into squares.

Notes
