3-Ingredient Brazilian Truffles

These simple and luxurious Brazilian truffles, known as brigadeiros, are made with just three ingredients: sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter, coated in sprinkles for a delightful treat.

  • 14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder Unsweetened cocoa powder is typical.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter Use to help roll the truffles.
  • 1/2 cup Sprinkles For coating the truffles.

Method
 

Cooking the Mixture
  1. In a saucepan, mix together the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter.
  2. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Forming the Truffles
  1. Once cooled, lightly butter your hands and roll the mixture into small balls.
  2. Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles to coat.
  3. Arrange on a plate and serve, or refrigerate until ready to eat.

Notes

Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 1 week. For a softer texture, allow truffles to warm to room temperature before serving.
