Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and sliced Use firm, tart apples like Granny Smith or a mix with Honeycrisp.
Topping
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice To toss with the apple slices.
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour For a gluten-free version, swap with almond flour.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Can be reduced for less sweetness.
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp cold butter, cubed Keep butter cold for crunchy topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toss apple slices with lemon juice and place in an air fryer-safe dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the topping over the apples.
Cooking
  1. Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, thick whipped cream, or warmed caramel. Cool and refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
