- 1 cup Superfine sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon Acid (like lemon juice or vinegar)
- 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups Fresh fruits (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, passionfruit)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
- In a clean, dry mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add the superfine sugar, whisking until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in cornstarch and acid carefully without deflating the meringue.
- Pipe or spread the meringue into a circle on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 1 hour or until firm; turn off the oven and let it cool inside.
- Once cooled, top with whipped cream and arrange fresh fruits on top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, use room-temperature eggs. Avoid opening the oven while baking to prevent cracks in the meringue.
