Description

A light and airy dessert with a crispy meringue shell and a soft, marshmallow-like interior, topped with whipped cream and fresh fruits.


Ingredients

  • 4 large Egg whites
  • 1 cup Superfine sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Acid (like lemon juice or vinegar)
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups Fresh fruits (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, passionfruit)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a clean, dry mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the superfine sugar, whisking until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold in cornstarch and acid carefully without deflating the meringue.
  5. Pipe or spread the meringue into a circle on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 1 hour or until firm; turn off the oven and let it cool inside.
  7. Once cooled, top with whipped cream and arrange fresh fruits on top.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use room-temperature eggs. Avoid opening the oven while baking to prevent cracks in the meringue.
