- Lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8–10 strips of bacon
- 2 cups shredded cheese blend (mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan)
- 1 cup parmesan garlic sauce
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Prepare the parmesan garlic sauce by melting butter, adding minced garlic, making a roux, and whisking in milk and parmesan until smooth.
- Cook bacon until crispy, then cook ground beef in the rendered fat, seasoning to taste. Crumble bacon and mix with beef and cheddar cheese.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a layer of tomato sauce in a baking dish, add noodles, then half the meat mixture, followed by cheese blend and garlic sauce. Repeat layers.
- Finish with noodles, sauce, and cheese on top. Bake covered for 25 minutes, then uncovered for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Letting the lasagna rest before slicing helps keep the layers intact. Serve with a fresh salad or garlic bread.
