- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- Additional powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
- Gradually mix in flour, salt, and chopped nuts until a soft dough forms.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes or until the bottoms are just golden.
- Once baked, let the cookies cool slightly and roll them in powdered sugar.
- For extra sweetness, roll them in powdered sugar again after they’ve completely cooled.
Notes
For a chocolate twist, substitute 2-3 tablespoons of flour with unsweetened cocoa powder. You can also experiment with different nuts like almonds or hazelnuts to suit your taste.
