Description

Delightful, buttery, nut-filled confections dusted with powdered sugar, perfect for weddings and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Additional powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
  2. Gradually mix in flour, salt, and chopped nuts until a soft dough forms.
  3. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes or until the bottoms are just golden.
  6. Once baked, let the cookies cool slightly and roll them in powdered sugar.
  7. For extra sweetness, roll them in powdered sugar again after they’ve completely cooled.

Notes

For a chocolate twist, substitute 2-3 tablespoons of flour with unsweetened cocoa powder. You can also experiment with different nuts like almonds or hazelnuts to suit your taste.
