- 1 lb white American cheese (or queso blanco)
- 1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
- 1/4 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Optional: hot sauce, diced tomatoes, or cilantro
Instructions
- Melt the cheese in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently.
- Gradually add milk or heavy cream while whisking until smooth.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and jalapeños.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips or use as a topping for tacos.
Notes
For a spicier version, add more jalapeños or a dash of cayenne pepper. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
